We've had a bit of bath trouble lately. Well, bathroom flooding trouble. The kids have seriously taken to splashing over the last few days, and intentional heaving of water over the side. I've found it hard to work out an appropriate consequence. Frankly, I just want them to mop it up, but that would mean having to wade through it to wash them, and risking everyone's life and limb getting them out of the bath.
So tonight I went for the distraction technique. I'm often looking for something different to keep them quiet(ish) and happy in the bath, and here's an idea I came up with all by myself...
Beautiful pictures! There is nothing more satisfying than coming up with a creative solution for an annoying problem all on your own. For now my 2yo is quite content making "cakes" in the bath. All she needs is a container and something to stir. No doubt we will encounter the splashing dilemma as Miss 6 weeks old gets bigger and joins her sis in the bath :-) All I need is a garden to collect some beautiful flowers.

ReplyDeleteOh you are so lovely, thank you so much. We are finally settling in to our new house, after selling in December and living with my Mum for 3 months. I am up to my ears in paint colours and curtains and tapware and bench tops, and I can't wait to get back to normal life and blogging! We're nearly there. See you soon! x
