A portrait of my children every week for a year.
Reuben and Esther: We went to a birthday party recently for our little 4-year-old second cousin. Reuben and Esther didn't know the other kids at all, and Reuben was very shy and stuck very close to me, as he used to do a lot. When I asked him on the way home what his favourite part of the party was, he said the bouncy castle. "There were so many other kids on it but I watched Esther be brave, so I thought I would be brave too." How *good* that little girl is for all of us!
These photos are from late April. The next few 52 posts will be a little bit of a catch up from the last couple of months. There's a fair amount of poetic licence going on with this project.

Absolutely stunning.
ReplyDeleteI can't figure out what it is - maybe the gaze? - but that boy is looking very Kentish here.
ReplyDeleteThere is something so serene about it - that is his father!
